Overall this is a solid bell that fulfills the purpose of being loud and noticeable. The sound is unmistakable in getting attention and being prominent.Personally I think it ought to be a bit more resonant with the sound having a bit more sustain, therefore I will deduct one star as the quality of the materials don't seem to be as resonant and heavy as I would prefer. It does look like it will hold together, but it is of the most generic quality with regards to build, but then again that's reflected in the price.I intend to use this moreso for musical purposes and less so for its practical attention getting purposes. As an attention grabber it certainly fulfill this role at a very reasonable price. It may not be the loudest or most resonant bell I've heard but it will do the job of calling people's attention.

I don't know why, but I had in mind that this bell would be a little larger than it actually is. It has a clear, loud ring that will be useful on our farm. The bell I received had a dent, so I took off a star.
