Don't be afraid of the price because these rings are not your standard cheap adapters. They are top notch tools and are built to last.Most step up/down rings are notoriously made from cheap aluminum that easily jams up or cross threads. This is a black coated brass ring that works perfectly. The knurled ring, so often missing from lesser quality rings, offers great grip when attaching or removing filters and the brass threads are perfectly machined. The ring screws easily onto the lenses and the filters fit perfectly.My only concern (unfounded) was the location of the item's information and if it would reflect off the filter glass. I haven't noticed any problems with it but I'd prefer it be on the back of the ring.I own several of their adapter rings and work with them daily. Great stuff!

Having invested a reasonable amount in the Lee filter system for my Nikon lenses, it seemed a waste of money to have to buy individual polarizing lenses for the times I just wanted a polarizer (and didn't want the cumbersome filter holder just to use the excellent Lee 105mm polarizer. Then I heard about adaptors that would let me use his filter with any other lens - for just a few dollars each lens. Unlike most of the options out there, the Breakthrough Photography adaptors are brass, and are machined to exacting standards. Absolutely no problems with crossed-threads. They fit perfectly. Maybe a tad heavier than aluminium, but they have the right amount of heft to solidly hold my large filter.
