Cutting the band can be a challenge as band clamp material is sufficiently thick to insure adequate strength for industrial purposes. Around the house a thinner material would be acceptable as it would be sufficiently robust yet easier to cut. I have a very large scissors-looking cutter but it only works for flashing. Fortunately I had an old pair of tin snips or VanDykes which worked well. But that also means you might want to purchase a tool to cut the banding rather than fight it by using a less appropriate tool. For around the house tasks connecting shorter clamps together to make one long clamp will make more sense in most cases. If you have a 'good' hardware store handy that is.

Easy to use. Cut to length as needed. The three 28" bands I made are in place and working perfectly.

Great product. Like I did, make sure you order everything you need. There are many similar options that list what is included so double check before you order.

Had to mount a couple of fiber optic splice closure to some telephone poles that got pulled down by a tall truck with an ac unit on top and needed something for a temporary fix until we replaced the cable from building to building. Customer decided to keep they fiber cable as is for now and not replace the entire cable. This worked great because we could trim it to the length we needed and it keeps the splice closure from swinging in the wind.

I am very happy with the amount of banding. It seems durable and shipped promptly, arriving in good condition. I noticed in other reviews that you need to be careful applying the clamp bracket so it doesn't fall back out (which is completely true) but I was careful and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, some came apart after a couple of days. The issue is, if it's used on something that will not expand and contract, there shouldn't be an issue. I had an exhaust tear and used this to hold it together until I could get in to change the exhaust. The clamps on one side of the muffler stayed together without a problem, but on the other side, they kept disappearing. The expansion and contraction of the exhaust in use actually worked the bracket loose. I wish there was a way of fastening it permanently when you have the size you need. The flexibility this kit provides in various sizes of clamps is perfect. The materials used seem great, the bands didn't snap; I just lost the clamp because the bracket came undone.

Definitely cost-effective to have on hand for large clamping requirements. Helps to assemble the clamp and tape the two parts together so the made-up clamp doesn't fall apart as you're struggling to wrap the thing around a 16" duct that's trying to disconnect itself from whatever you're trying to clamp it to. Highly recommended.
