Previous tires, with studs, did very little to prevent my truck from spinning out at a stop sign, fishtailing on the highway, or not make it up a simple hill from a stop. The Blizzak's are supposed to be the new thing, not requiring studs, and they work exceptionally well. I live in Alaska, and we will get feet of snow at a time, black ice, and unplowed roads. This season, I have yet to slip and slide on these tires. I could tell the difference as soon as they were put on my truck. They grip VERY well.
