Replaced the perished, cracked and shorting (?) boot with this pliant cover. Get one of these if your new magneto doesn't come with one.

Was a bit worried with the size when received- looked kinda small. But when placed it on a wire (with no big effort there) - fit like a glove ;) A bit high on the price for one small rubber cover though... but what is cheap novadays.

Takes a little effort to slide the plug connector through it but I like the tighter fit on electronic connections anyway. Perfect replacement. Be advised that the Briggs/Stratton (OEM) "Magnetron" magneto (#491420) will NOT include a new boot so you'll either have to retain your old one or purchase a new one separately.

Works as described. I put a little WD-40 on the boot to slip it on. Seems on old equipment these sometimes are missing or on new coils from Briggs the boot is not included.

Terminal fits nice and snug to the spark plug now(the original was chewed by a rodent ),took about 5 mins to push terminal gently through boot as I did not want to rip the boot at entry point as its thin on that end ,I would lube terminal with dielectric grease to make it even easier next time.Looks well and is functional.

They would get five stars if they went above and beyond what was advertised and expected.Imagine if your grocery store was like this and you had to rate every product you purchased!
