Your cart is empty.Nutrients are substances required by algae for survival; they are collectively involved in all aspects of the biological and chemical reactions that allow algae to function properly. Brightwell Aquatics ChaetoGro provides these substances in concentrations found by researchers to be necessary for long-term health. These elements, and some of the processes that they are involved in, are: Potassium - Protein synthesis, water and charge balance, enzyme activation. Boron - Chlorophyll production, flowering, root growth, cell function. Carbon - Required for all organic compounds. Calcium - Cell wall stability and permeability, enzyme activation, cell response to stimuli. Chlorine - Water and charge balance, photosynthesis. Iron - Required for photosynthesis, component of enzymes utilized in redox reactions. Magnesium - Component of chlorophyll, enzyme activation. Manganese - Formation of amino acids, enzyme activation. Molybdenum and Cobalt - Required for nitrate reduction. Nickel - Enzyme activation, processing of nitrogenous material. I put this on an auto doser for daily dispensing. I dose 2ml per day. Since it's addition to my reef aquarium it has certainly boosted the growth of the chaeto in my algae reactor and in turn lowered my nutrient levels.

very significant result for my tank. coralline, chaeto, caulerpa, all the marcos grow like crazy just after three days dosing. skimmer also collect more waste (mainly microalgaes). If you have high nitrate/phos but all the algaes do not grow, you need this.

Not sure exactly how well it will work as it just came today. We shall see and I'll update later.But I was disappointed to find a hard crust of something holding the cap shut and around the top of the bottle. Seems the cap is defective and leaking a bit. Returned for replacement.

I have seen growth and improved health of my chaeto since I started adding this product to the tank (1 ml per day in 100 gallon with 30 gallon sump). However, green hair algae which had been long gone and unseen for at least 6 months also came back. I am seeing a couple of significant patches popping up in a few places. I plan to stop using it in the hope that between my clean up crew and stopping chaetogro will get rid of the hair algae before it gets out of control
