Movements and wheels are good, it’s a fun toy, and good value for the money. It’s not powered by battery and design to fit the collection. Size is perfect for toddlers

works great, grand kids love watching their "powered" engine chugging around the track.BUY extra batteries! because the kids don't always turn it off.and it runs for hours... til the batteries die. LOL

プラレールとは違い、ゆっくり走るタイプです。なので小さな子どもでも安心して遊べます。また、色々と繋げて長い列車にしてもトルクがあるのでしっかりと進みます。

My toddler loves trains. He’s having a blast with all his trains. This last Christmas we got a few battery powered options for him. This one takes the smallest battery, AAA. It moves slow, and the battery wears down after a day or two. Other than that it’s a solid and sturdy little train. The wheels lock up when it’s not being run by battery. I wish that it could roll freely when no batteries were powering it.

I got this for my grandson who has other brio engines and a lot of track. His existing engines were rechargeable with USB. The problem is that these batteries lose power after a lot of use and cannot pull anything. The battery is not replaceable. The cheaper train I purchased used an ordinary replaceable battery and thus will give much longer life and is good value.

I thought I would get quality by buying the name brand but not so! I noticed right away that a brand new battery would run down in about a day of use. After a few days of putting a new battery in it every morning as it was either dead or very slow, I was tired of that. Then within a few days we noticed the button on top was no long in a defined forward, middle or reverse position, but was flimsy and would look like it was forward but turned out to be off (middle) and such. So, now I am always checking it to make sure it was left on to find the button is just cheaply made. Also, even with a full battery it does not pull very many cars and actually slows down. Not good quality at all!ADDITIONAL NOTE - I have purchased two other engines that work great, Hape and Wood City brands. Hape has a red engine that runs for about a week before battery change. Wood City has a white 2 pc engine set that has been going strong for 3 wks now. There is no need to put up with DAILY BATTERY CHANGES! Brio must own stock in a battery company.

Whether you use Duracell or energizer or rechargeable batteries, this thing has one speed and it’s ok. Not trying to break any lap records but this could be a bit faster. Good construction and quality. Works well with other brands too.

Love it! We have an electric James Thomas train but it couldn't get up any of the hills in our track (it would slip). I bought this and it gets up easily, pushing and pulling carriages behind it. Added bonus for my 3 year old - it goes forwards AND backwards! The single AAA battery wont last long due to all the work this train is doing, but easily replaced.

This train is too cute! I loved and ordered this because it had a light along with being able to go forward and reverse. My oldest step child who is 21 takes the opportunity when he can to put it in the track and we all watch in a trance as it goes around our pretty basic train table set up. I will say I love how the train handles hills. My husband has tried to attach other train cars and it only can pull 1-2 of them. We have another brand though and I think they are heavier so that may make a difference.I do also have a 2 year old and so far he hasn't really messed with it aside of when we say give it a nug to get it on the track again.( my husband glued the track down and some parts aren't aligned well)I want to buy the three piece set from Amazon that Brio makes because of how well this one has worked for us.

This is a great train for little kids. It easily works great on the typical wooden train tracks and is powerful enough to go up and down the hills on the track set. We have had other train trains that have trouble getting up the hills so it was important to find one that was able to go up and down on its own. It will also run on other surfaces such as a floor or a firm rug if you don't have or want to use a track. It is able to go forward and backwards which is a great feature, but sometimes because of the switch being all in one place, our two-year-old is unable to turn it off because the off is in the middle of turning the switch to go forward or backward. We have run out a few batteries this way, when it was left on without our knowledge, which is easily remedied if you just check to make sure your little on has turned it off. This is truly the only downside to this product and eventually that won't be a problem anymore once he gets a little older. There is a magnetic hook up on the rear of the train so it can pull other pieces that have a similar magnetic hook up and we have gotten it to pull quite a few pieces as once because of its overall strength when it runs. Overall, I highly recommend this product for young children and older train lovers alike. We will definitely be buying more like it in the future.
