I have been using these types of refractometers for many years. I am a craft brewer, and I do a lot of brewing and teach others how to brew. I saw this refractometer, and since I needed a backup, I decide to check this one out. Many companies sell these from very cheap to very overpriced, yet they all do the same thing. I opened this package and thought I would see how accurate it is. So, I compared it to my trusty refractometer and my Hanna refractometer (which I don't like using). I initially tested it with water and this unit was out of calibration. I used the provided screwdriver and quickly get it to "0." Then I made a sugar solution and tested all three. They all conclude the same values. I tried three different solutions, and they all were aligned correctly. The quality of this Refractometer is on par with many others on the market. It is easy to use, easy to calibrate, and easy to clean. Word of warning, though. Regardless of manufacturer, this type of unit is susceptible to damage if they get submerged in water for any real length of time. I think the is a decent product and I recommend it,

Been using a hydrometer for my home brew for some time. I knew of these refractometers, but never tried one. Definitely simple enough to use. Comes with a few pipettes. A small screwdriver for calibrations. The eye piece twists to allow you to finely focus on the readings. The case is a small issue. The hinge portion doesn't quite hold together. It's a minor thing but still a thing. Overall, I'm happy with this.
