Set up in 3 steps
Download the new app BroadLink in App Store or Google Play (support IOS 8.0 / Android 4.0 and above) and configure the device according to the app instructions.
Find Your Control Panel or Learn Button
Industry top level development technology. BroadLink Patented Global Cloud Service technology and plenty of remote control database enable fast and reliable operation.
Learning mode is available, you can define a remote and learn buttons if you couldn't find your remote in our database.
Voice Control with Alexa
Make sure the devices can be remotely controlled from external networks. In Amazon Alexa/Google Home Apps, enable the skill/service named BroadLink, link account and discover devices.

Something you need to know
(1) Make sure your phone is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network before adding device (5GHz is not supported)
(2) The Wi-Fi password should contain no more than 32 characters and no special characters which are not available on standard keyboard layout.
(3) If you have difficulties to add device in smart configuration mode, please refer to Indications on the manual to try AP configuration.
(4) RM4 pro IR only supports 433MHz fixed code remote and code learning, not 315MHz or rolling code

System didn’t support the frequencies that my remote was broadcasting. After many tries and troubleshooting to get system to read my remotes commands including Customer Support. Customer support informed me that broadlink didn’t support my remotes frequencies. By that Time it was too late to return system.

I have one of these and it's worked great so I ordered another one. This time I can't get it to set up and connect to the SAME NETWORK! The set up just keeps failing over and over (VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!). I tried on 2 Samsung phones (I don't want to hear about how some devices have trouble connecting via Samsung phones, they are the most popular android brand, figure it out!) I also tried a budget Motorola phone with the exact same results. I no longer recommend this device or brand and I'm actively looking for a replacement for both. This is so maddening!QR code setup is not supported by this device even though that's the first thing you see in the packing. Long pressing for 5 and 10 seconds to get it to continue set up fails too. GARBAGE!!!!

I was excited to try but apprehensive due to many negative reviews. I spent quite a few hours working with the device trying to program my TV's and Boxes. It worked sporadically with some keys and others it could not learn. I consider myself a technical person and still had trouble getting the device to work as advertised.

I'm very tech-savvy and have tons of smart home devices. I thought adding this device was a no brainer and would make all of my IR and RF devices able to port onto my Google home setup. This is after all what the device is sold to do. However, I have not been able to add ANY devices. Even wifi devices that are on the same network as the device can't be found.The app is a joke. The device can be used as a simple paper weight and that's about it. I'm not sure how this device is still sold with all the claims of what it does, but does not do. Don't waste your money.

Product took more time then I was hoping to set up to work my Comfort Aire AC/Heat Unit. This is a in wall or window unit that is an AC and HEAT Pump. The issue was I can not change modes because the remote on my phone does not show the dispay on the main remote. I was able to contol turing it on and off if needed. Set unit to 68 and can monitor the temp from the thermomitor corded on the Broadlink wire. (that was a option )
