Used to control a Broan fan. This controller lasted 8 months. The previous one lasted several years.

It worked properly for a few months. We only use it duing the winter. The following season it worked but only if you took it out of the electrical box and tilted it to one side. I checked the connections they were fine. I then installed a plain toggle switch and that worked fine. So something is wrong with the fan controller. Too late to return it but I thought maybe others could see this and try another brand. Maybe it was just my unit or maybe the whole run. I'll never know.

Fan has never really worked for matching small kitchen fan. On High barely moves only works on low setting. Fan works perfect when dimmer is bypassed.

Unit was as described. I installed it with no issues. It is controlling a Nutone bath fan (Model # 8664RP). I was able to fit the unit in a three gang box. It's a little wide but I didn't have trouble fitting it next to a Lutron dimmer switch (after I removed the metal tabs on the Lutron switch) although it's a close fit.The unit is ivory and my fixtures are light ivory so not an exact match. The variable speed is not very linear (fast and quickly very slow). I'm not sure if the set screw on the side can be used to adjust the variable speed as there was nothing in the instructions about doing that, so I didn't try.Note: There were no wire nuts in the box. The cardboard box was a little beat up and appeared to have been opened. Not sure if wire nuts were meant to be included or not.

Good quality and functions well. Controls the fan speed well, with good speed range. Tight fit inside a standard electrical wall box.
