Definitely small. Ordered XL for my 12 year old but it fit more like a 8-10. Also, it is a bit sheer not too thick like other rash guards out there.

We ordered a size 14-16 thinking it'd be a little too big for our 12-year-old. Boy were we wrong. It fits him like a very small child's shirt. When I pulled it out of the bag, I thought I had gotten a toddler's shirt. WAY TOO SMALL and not true to size. We will be returning the shirts.
