If you have a Brooks, this is recommended to keep the leather supple and to prevent dryness. I am riding a 1964 Brooks Pro leather saddle I bought with paper route money and Proofide has kept it in great shape. It would probably work on other leather saddle brands if there are any left.

Erfüllt seinen Zweck und bietet eine gute Pflege meines Sattels.Im ersten Moment ist man erstaunt wie wenig 50ml sein können und denkt sich ganz schön viel Geld für die geringe Menge. Schnell merkt man jedoch dass man nur eine extrem geringe Menge braucht Wenn die Einfahrzeit des Sattels mit 3 mal pflegen vorbei ist und man sich an die Empfehlung von Brooks hält, den Sattel nicht öfter als 1 bis 2 mal im Jahr zu behandeln, so reicht die Menge von 50ml wohl die gesamte Lebensdauer des Sattels ;-) Dann passt es wieder.

This is a high quality product to take care of your high quality Brooks saddle. It clearly said it 30 ml but I really didn’t know how much that was. I have a small hand, so you can clearly see how small it it. It costs a lot for such a small amount but I want to take care of my saddle.

can is very small - but how much of this do you really need? Works very well, wish I got it years ago to protect my saddle.

I bought my first Brooks saddle and this proofhide at the same time. My saddle is super comfortable and, after leaving the bike exposed to two downpours, has all of it's integrity. For me it is a must-have.

Addendum: the company rectified this troublesome situation and I wish to upgrade my review. The problem is not entirely their fault. Shipping , customer care and product quality are fantastic .This review has little to do with the product. I’m pretty sure it has proven itself to be effective. The item, expensive as it is, was pictured to be a 50 ml container. What arrived was a 30 ml container. Remember, it’s expensive stuff, you want the full 50 ml. I’m still hoping the oversight will be rectified. When it is, I will adjust my review. I never was a big fan of false advertising.
