This is a great kit and the only one with the spray tube that you always break when rebuilding these carbs. The negative reviews I have read are mostly from guys who dont know what they are doing. The gaskets are top quality and the float works great but you have to make sure that the tangs dont touch the carb body behind the float. I will buy again if needed.

Lousy kit all cheap parts, accelerator pump only one layer, needle valve is marginal, gaskets are marginal. High price for a low quality kit . Used most of my original parts!! Not too happy

The floats in these kits were a little different than my originals, not so much that it was immediately apparent but enough to not allow the float to drop in the fuel bowl and open the needle valve. It took a bit of head scratching and investigation for me to figure it out... I initially suspected the mechanical fuel pump wasn't working and I replaced it with a temporary electric pump. Eventually I saw the problem and put the old floats back in- it worked great after that.Edited after a couple of weeks of use.I have downgraded my rating to 1 star (there is no option to give it a zero). The float retainer clips seem to be made of a material that is not compatible with gasoline (or possibly with the methanol that is now in our gasoline?) after some time exposed to gasoline the plastic clips distorted and warped. On one carb it warped upward and there was no problem however on the other carb it warped down and blocked the float travel. The blocked float couldn't close the needle valve and copious quantities of gasoline gushed out of the float bowl vent and flooded the engine. One might be suspicious that the problem was caused, or exacerbated, by my re-using the old floats but since the original shape of the new clips was exactly the same as the old clips this seems very unlikely. Only the clip's material (color and hardness) was different. Luckily I kept the old parts (which hadn't warped in 20 years of gasoline exposure) so I could compare them and reuse them.
