Awesome fax machine! Very glad I chose not to go the large, expensive route as I send/receive faxes only occasionally. Easy to set up, easy to operate, takes up very little room. Nice not to worry about ink too. Only issue is that you can’t fax many pages at once, and you have to stay close to make sure the pages being faxed only go through one at a time. Not a big dea for me but something everyone should know.

Use it for home office. I didn’t realize it was a paper roll fax machine. These papers do not store so well. I received it quickly when I ordered it.

Very basic fax. No answering system, though you couldn't tell that from the description online. Very old school. Not for use other than occasional fax. Uses old technology of paper roll on thin almost tissue like paper. Okay enough for my purposes but I wouldn't recommend it nor would I buy it again.

It is a little hard to get the fax to send sometimes. It wants to receive then has an error for not receiving. It works great otherwise. You just have to make sure the paper is laying proper in the tray before sending. Easy set up.

Bought this the end of September and it is totally worthless now, 6 months later. Printing quality is horrible. Had a 90 day warranty so can't return it. Its a piece of junk- DONT BUY IT!!!

Fax machine works great. You don't need a extra line or a other phone number.Machine has a mode that is fax/phone.Only one thing you can not use regular paper. The paper has to be purchase from Brother Company. Two rolls cost about $25.30.With that being said it is still worth it. If you are like me that receive more faxes than sends them it is worth buying.

This is our second Brother Fax Machine. This first lasted 15 years! My husband learned how to clean the mirrors inside and was able to keep it running like a pro. We loved our old machine because it used the roll of paper rather than the sheets. A fax of any size could and can come in with no change to the paper. So far, this machine works exactly the same way.. It is economical, space saving, and pretty much maintenance free. We looked at many fax machines, but chose to go back to this model for its ease in working.

These "oldfashioned" fax machines with thermal paper have kept one extremely useful feature that seems to have been lost in the new plain-paper machines, at least according to their descriptions and specifications as found on the internet: being able to operate on the same phone line with a telephone answering machine. When a call comes in, the fax machine leaves it to the answering machine to answer it and listens in to the beginning "conversation", starting with the outgoing message of the answering machine. If the caller is a fax machine that sends its fax identification signal, the local fax machine cuts off the answering machine and takes over the incoming fax call. These Brother fax machines seem to be the last ones that can be connected to an answering machine. The Fax275 is smaller and lighter than my old Sharp (whose internal power supply burnt out) and looks more flimsy, but it sports an automatic paper cutter, which the Sharp did not.It was slightly disconcerting that the Fax275 during setup refused to accept the half-full paper roll taken from the old machine, declaring it as "empty". I hope that it won't quit when the new roll I finally inserted reaches the same half-full state.
