Great Jacket, if they had used better zippers then it would be a 5-star rating. The sizes are pretty close to regular US sizes. I would order only 1 size larger. I am an XL and ordered an XXXL and it is very baggy on me. If I get another, I will go with an XXL.

I've been a backyard beekeeper for about eight years and have gone through 6 different bee suits. This one suits me best. It's a little more expensive but has been the only one that feels failsafe. The others I've used have more zippers than velcro. The velcro stays closed, and our little friends cannot get in. The mesh block stings with no problem. The waist is very tight. The wrists are very tight.

First, I am not a honey bee keeper and won't need to use this on a regular basis. Rather, I just need the occasional protection for dealing with wasp nests and for attempting to rescue bumblebee nests infested with wax moth larvae. This jacket looks like it will do, though I may return it if I find a better fitting one - undecided. Observations: First, the jacket runs LARGE. I ordered a medium (female, 5'7" 115 lb) and the cut seems to be for a potato person. This may be a good thing - baggy may prevent stings. It's too soon to tell. The sleeves are long enough and I can pull the jacket down far, but if a person has to reach over their head, the jacket rides way up. Second, the front zipper is difficult to operate because it's sewn a bit crooked at the base. The other zippers seem ok. They all say YKK but is it true? Third, overall the quality seems decent. The seams are as expected and the mesh is intact. Fourth, the veil/hood part is decently designed and would be good for wearing a ball cap underneath. I noted that some bulk could be taken in on the backside with a bit of sewing prowess if desired.Overall, this seems like an ok jacket. It's my first so there is nothing to compare it with. It should do for my occasional needs but if I was tending bee hives every day, this might not be what I would choose. If I could change anything it would be to fix the potato person cut - very fat sleeves at the top and wide at the chest - good fit for an obese flying squirrel maybe. And I wish it came in size small.

I love this Jacket, I bought the 2XL, at 5ft 10in, 230lbs. I wanted to be sure and have some Wiggle room, it fits very nice, Metal Zippers work great, 100% confident that there will be no Stinging through this Jacket!!

Originally bought a complete bee suit. But it was a chore to put on and take off. Plus during the summer months it was like being in a sauna. This jacket offers excellent protection and is totally breathable.

Needed an alternative to my full body beekeeping suit for going out to check on hives with my mentor. Jacket works great, is well made and withstood everything I threw at it for a season of beekeeping. Fully expect to get at least 4 more seasons out of it. Perfect for wearing with my overalls or jeans, easy to put on and take off when hopping in and out of a pick up truck all day.

I just opened the package today to find the front zipper not working. This is a quality control issue. The main reason I purchased this particular jacket is that a friend just bought one a few weeks ago. I was impressed with the quality and value. The other jacket had no issues at all. I needed a new jacket and this listing was less than half of the cost of my old jacket. Seemed like a no brainer. I now am going to need to spend time and money having the zipper replaced.
