Bowled Over!
American Lawn Bowling originated in Europe as Skittles, but shares many similarities with indoor bowling most people are familiar with. Players setup 10 pins and take two turns per frame and keeping score through 10 frames, just like regular bowling.
Since you will most likely be playing on grass however, the balls being thrown can be bounced and throwing motion is a bit different. You can also try playing Skittles rules, included on the instructions sheet.
It's a fun variation on a familiar game that's fun for the whole family!

This European style of bowling is played with 9 pins in a diamond shape. Players take three turns each in six frames, and if you're able to knock down all pins in the first or second turn you set all the pins back up to go for the high score!
Set includes 10 wooden pins, two hefty wooden balls, and instructions sheet! You'll also get a drawstring mesh bag so you can take this fantastic game wherever you want. All game materials are made from safe, natural cuts of wood.

I ordered this bowling set for a series of lawn games at a wedding. This set is pretty standard for nine-pin skittles or duckpin, but if you’re not used to the smaller ball, it can be a bit jarring since you have to throw it much harder if you want to knock down more than one or two pins. This set comes with a mesh carrying bag for easy transportation, and all pins and balls fit into the bag without issue.One thing I can say is that you may want to get a square of plywood to set the pins on if you’re playing on grass. Pins don’t like to stay upright when placed on a grassy surface if it’s not cut as short as a golf course. The game is perfectly playable and enjoyable on concrete or a deck, though.

These are less sturdy than I hoped. How can you play unless they stand still?! I even tried using them on a flat surface! Not sure why others are rating this 5 stars.

Thought the set would have bigger for the price! I think I would it would have been to go with cheaper plastic set. impressed it is all made of wood, but over all it's like rolling a racket ball at 20 ounce coke bottles.

I can't seem to bowl more than about a 45 with this set; with several "mulligans". This is MUCH more difficult than real bowling. I don't have flat surface other than in carport. It is supposed to be "lawn bowling" and most of my lawn is hilly.

It is pretty sturdy. We haven't used it outdoors, but indoor is great. Used it as a center piece for my son's birthday theme because he loves Bowling and went well with the theme. All my 3 children loves it and have been playing it indoor since its rainy season here again.

We put this game out for our daughter's birthday party. All the kids seemed to enjoy it! Adults can play it too. The pins and balls are sturdy wood. The pieces came with a handy bag for storage. No complaints.
