Is easy to use and accurate and is menu driven. You don't even need a user manual.

I wouldn’t recommend this for heavy shop use but for DIYers should be happy for sure. Very easy to use diagnostic tool for batteries. I could see where this would be great for field work wreckers, service vehicles and the like. It feels a bit “junky” but is very functional. Not a bad price for a dedicated tool.

I’ve been using the Visdector BT10 for a bit now, and it’s been solid. One thing I really like is how wide the clamps open, while still being small—it might not seem like a big deal, but they make it so much easier to get a good connection, especially on larger terminals. In my shop we have a couple other battery testers and I usually struggle to fit them over the terminals - this one works great! When it comes to accuracy, this tester is pretty spot-on. I compared it to a Midtronics unit, and the readings were really close, which says a lot. Other testers - the Ancel AD410, and the Cornwell ESC718 I’ve used have been off by as much as 50 CCA.It’s also super easy and quick to use. While the Ancel and Cornwell tools also have four buttons, the navigation on the Visdector is simpler and more intuitive. It does everything our expensive and fragile Midtronics tester does, but it fits in my pocket and feels a lot more durable.Overall, I think this is a great little tester for the price.

These wet cell batteries are becoming stupid expensive but being stranded is worse than being poor. My car battery seemed to turn the engine slower which had me looking for problems. sure enough the battery is at 70 percent capacity. I have put on a charger with "repair" function but I dont have high hopes. On a positive note I can also use this meter to check the internal resistance of hybrid modules which is very handy. Nothing is worse than building a battery bank for a prius and have to go back in for a self discharge issue. It would take two weeks to sit in order to identify the internal resistance issue. It was worth the money for that.

Initial thoughts:The first thing I noticed when unboxing, unlike other testers of this type that I’ve owned in the past, is that the clamps open far enough to encompass the entire battery clamp, insuring a good connection to the battery. The BT10 is self-explanatory in its use. Simply follow the screen prompts.Testing:I have an Autel battery/starting/charging system tester that pairs with my OBDII tablet that I rely upon for the majority of my work. It’s very accurate, I can use it unassisted, and it will generate a report that I can provide a client for review. It also doesn’t rely on the vehicle’s battery for power – a good thing if the battery I’m testing is dead, or almost dead. With that said, the Visdector BT10 provided usable results, comparable to the results obtained with my Autel tester. The main disadvantage I can see for the BT10 is the necessity to have an assistant to rev up the engine during the charging test, at least on cars that don’t have under hood access to a throttle cable. In short, this tester works as intended, and as expected. And, it’s the perfect size to fit into my “go bag” tool kit that I would take with me to field test a client’s battery.
