In order to complete this you will need cardboard (I save the cardboard inserts that come with each Bucilla kit just for this reason). You will also need a bit of stuffing and quilt batting. That said, I wish they would include paper templates instead of having to use the felt pieces to trace. Yes, you read that right. You will have to use the finished felt pieces to trace out on the cardboard and also to have a pattern to cut your quilt batting. To make it easier on me, I traced the felt on the cardboard, cut the cardboard smaller than the felt pieces then used a thin amount of glue to adhere the batting to the cardboard and then cut the batting slightly larger than the cardboard. Cut your batting over old newspaper or a rubbish can as the quilt batting leaves tiny fibers all over the place! My sewing finger hurt like heck pushing thru the felt and pellon that they include with the kit but this might be only me. Just in case you might want to use a leather thimble to help. All in all while a bit challenging I still loved the final outcome!
