I have done 2 other full bucilla stockings with not much issue in lining up the felt pieces, but this one I had issues with most of the white pieces! Starting with the top of the stocking which I initially chalked up to the big piece of white felt having a fold in it but as I kept doing more, the snowman pieces and the bottom snowbank were all just slightly too small. I had to trim other parts or do my best to remove the dashes around certain areas where it just didn't line up.I also noticed an issue on the directions of leaving out pieces (I did catch this and it didn't affect my final piece) as well as some of the color coding for threads to not be clear or just wrong.While I am fine doing the embroidery for the eyes and noses, the fact there were 4 characters with pink cheeks could have easily just included a piece of pink felt to make it easier for beginners (as I've said I've done 3 of these now and it wasn't such a big deal but I remember with my first stocking I struggled a lot with the satin stitch embroidery and making it look proper and solid).

So...I have never sewed anymore then a few stitches to fix something. So when I set out on this adventure I was completely out of my element. My wife mentioned last year that she did not have a personalized stocking. So I went on Amazon and found one. I worked on it off and on for about 11 months to finally finish it yesterday November 17th 2021. Im writing this review for the novice, not the experienced. It was a lot of work, but my wife could not be more happy with the finished product. And she is was even more flattered by seeing how much time I spent working on it. I think after a good break I'm going to make another one for my new niece coming into the world soon, and have it ready for her 1st Christmas in 22. Also, many people said they were missing items in their set. Mine had nothing missing. But I suggest having a few spools of primary color thread to help the project along, red, white, black.

My mother bought similar kits for us and put them together for our first Christmases, stitiching our birth year on the stocking, we have used them every year. I am now in my 30's and they are still looking beautiful.This year by youngest brother announced his girlfriend is pregnant, and I was so excited to find these. I have given a kit to my mother to make for her first grandchild. I hope we can carry on this tradition with all of our kids, and I am so thankful these kits still exist.

I like the stocking appearance. There was NOT enough of some sequins and beads. The instructions for one piece were omitted. If you are experienced with these stockings and have leftover supplies from previous stockings, this won’t be an issue for you.

I have made over 40 Bucilla stockings over the last 35 years and this is the first one that was short supplies. There were not nearly enough sequins! If I had not kept sequins from other kits I would not have been able to finish the stocking. Very disappointed.

This is the third stocking kit i have purchased. They are Beautiful! Arrive within days of order. Everything you need is in the kit. You do not need to know how to embroider as instructions are also included. I did find it easier to watch you tube videos to learn the stitches. Makes a wonderful, lifelong keepsake for my grandchildren.
