I don't notice a difference from my Shimano OEM pedals. They look and perform the same while being much less expensive and easier to find. I would recommend.

like:- function/functionality indistinguishable from OEM Shimano- looks also indistinguishabledislike: Nothing, TBH!value: At literally half the cost, I'm good with these. Some things you need OEM. These, however, are fine.in sum: These over Shimano for the win.

I am currently using the yellow SPD-R cleat which came with the pedals I bought earlier last year, at that time I had no idea that the color signified any sort of movement or level of clipness. Now after using them for the last 6 months the plastic is pretty much worn through and has become hard to clip in and clip out of so I am excited to try a little less float and switch over to the blue 2-degree cleat! Although I have a feeling they will probably last equally long so based on the price for plastic I hope I get some good mileage out of them as well! I will update my review once I've worn them a bit longer!

I ordered the Bucklos SPD-SL cleats in 0° float to replace the cleats that were provided with a pair of pedals I recently ordered. They ones provided with the pedals have 6° of float, and for my riding I prefer 0°.The Bucklos cleats were provided with all the necessary mounting hardware, which includes six washers and six mounting screws. The cleats mounted to my shoes just fine, and, as they should, clip in and out in accordance with the user’s cleat tension adjustment. The cleats appear well made and each of them has a small alignment mark for their proper adjustment. The float options also adhere to the standard Shimano color coding, that is, red for 0°, blue for 2° and yellow for 6°.Although I haven’t owned my Bucklos pedals too long, nonetheless, I have a favorable impression of the company and their commitment to cycling equipment. I anticipate that these will last for many entries and exits.Pedal “float” is often a confusing subject, so I’ll take this opportunity to provide some insight for those trying to decide which degree of float best suits them. Float refers to the amount of back-and-forth lateral movement the foot has in the pedal. Float is a function of a cleats shape, and doesn’t infer that when mounted, a cleat isn’t fully tightened to the shoe; 5nm is a generally accepted amount of torque for cleat mounting.Biomechanically, 0° of float is considered the most efficient for converting pedaling power to forward motion, however, 0° float cleats must be mounted properly; they’re generally for the more serious rider that understands how to properly align and adjust a cleat in accordance with the walking angle and ball of their foot. If not mounted and adjusted properly, although it may not be immediately evident, 0° float cleats may cause problems down the road. Put another way, cleats with any amount of float are less efficient, but more forgiving on muscles, ligaments and so forth than those with 0° of float. So, at one extreme there is 0° of float and at the other 6°. As a recommendation, if this is the first you’ve read of float, 0° is probably not for you. If you ride casually for exercise and recreation, or use bike cleats for a spin class or in-home exercise bike, 6° is probably a good choice. 2° of float, in my opinion, is another specialize option.

Since cleats are key in terms of riding safely, I grabbed these with the intent of being skeptical before using them. I measured them at several points with calipers and every measurement matches a pair of new Shimano cleats. I am confident that these will perform just as well as the more expensive version as the seem to truly be the exact same thing. It is, of course, possible that the materials are not the same, but visually there is nothing to indicate that. I'll get them mounted and ridden and I'll post a follow up.

These are very nice cleats. I'll use them as a replacement when mine are no longer any good. They look just like my original cleats and a better value than what I see at the store. The box came with all the washers and screws needed.Highly recommend these.

I wear Shimano SPD SL shoes/cleats with my road bike and destroy the bottoms by walking on them. These replacements cleats look the same as the originals, for less expense. They will do their job, but in the end cleats for me are a consumable. I always wear out the rubber contact walking points before it gets parts that engage and lock the cleats to the pedal. Indoor use will probably last a very long time.
