The product photo shows a lid on the unit. When it arrived there was NO LID. Now I have to fabricate one to seal the enclosure.

Inexpensive solution to creating your own rack project. I'm using this one for a Temperature display and Raspberry Pi project for our server racks.

Poorly made; sharp edges, burrs, cutting errors. And of course, as has been mentioned already, no top panel. Take my advice, look elsewhere.

Beware, this product has no bottom cover. The rear panel cannot be detached for machining holes. The 0.75" bends prevents you proper access of inside the box. The working height is not 1.75" but rather 1.5". Not thrilled.

This is an excellent 1U case for rack projects. I'm using it to hold a Raspberry Pi and it is a very good fit. It is made out of aluminum so it is easy to cut and drill. As the other reviewer noted, there is no bottom cover (or top depending on how you orient it.) You could easily fashion a cover out of plexi (there are screw holes for a cover.) I just left mine open on the top side. You will need to drill a hole in the back to run cables or power. I found a 1 inch hole saw works well for this purpose. The flat front panel unscrews which affords a little more convenience for cutting and clamping.
