I got these translation earbuds when I was packing up for Japan trip. It was my first time to Japan and I know little about Japanese. So I thought they would be helpful. Indeed the earbuds didn't let me down. I had them on my ears almost all the time during my stay. The translations were impressive. They came out almost instantly after the speech. They solved most of my communication issues in shopping, dinning and location finding. The earbuds are comfortable enough for long wear as well. They stay in place all the time.

They are the hang over ear kind, and comfortable for longer wear, and the matte black case feel smooth when hold it. The sound is okay for the price, I enjoy listening to my playlists, especially songs with heavier bass, which comes through nicely. The real standout, though, is the AI translation feature. I’ve used it during virtual meetings with some overseas clients who speak a different language. After set it up through the video call app, and it’ll translate what they are saying in real time, showing the original language and the translated text on screen. It’s maybe 80% accurate, but it’s handy when I need to catch the gist of a conversation without waiting for a human translator. For instance, last week, I was on a call with a partner speaking Spanish, and I could follow along well to keep the discussion moving.The translation has a bit limited there. If the speaker talks fast or there’s background noise, the accuracy drops, and you might miss a few words. I wish it could handle more in-person chats better.
