This bug spray kind of worked. I liked that it was deet free, but I think the mosquitos also liked that it was deet free. We still got bit, but not as bad, hence the 3 stars.

This BugMD Buzz Shield Insect Repellent Spray (pack of two bottles) smells rather nice for insect repellent, in fact it smells very different to the typical repellent. I wouldn't trust this in the Amazon jungle, but it is a nice non-nasty alternative for every day use. What I like the most about this Buzz Shield is that it uses natural ingredients, I am one of those unfortunate people who mozzies just love, so I need to use repellent all the time. But I hate nasty chemicals, wouldn't want to spray DEET on me all the time, only when it is absolutely required (ie in the jungle).The expiry date is about two and a half years from when I received them

Mosquitoes find and love me, but I hate THEM! I don’t like using the chemical products, because usually I’m outdoors, enjoy fun, food. Chemical repellents have all the warnings about washing hands before eating. So it’s great when i find a product that works and doesn’t have all the chemicals. Seems to work best for around 2 hours if it’s not too windy. In windy conditions it works longer. If swimming you might have to reapply. Cruise ship friendly too.

I am pleasantly surprised by how effective this bug spray is! Having sensitive skin, I’ve tried many all-natural bug sprays over the years, and none have worked as well as this one. What’s even better is that it doesn’t have that overpowering chemical smell that most insect repellents have – instead, it has quite a nice scent with hints of citrus and lemongrass. I’ve been using it while working in my backyard at night, and it keeps the mosquitos and other bugs at bay without irritating my skin. It’s also DEET-free, which is a must for me. While it’s great for everyday use, if you’re going into a bug-heavy environment like a dense forest, I’d recommend testing it out in advance.

I live in a subtropical area and it's not unheard of to be swatting mosquitoes on Christmas day around here. A good bug repellant is something that's used almost year round where I live, and finding one that works well without being offensive to my own nose is pretty rare.This mosquito repellant has a wonderful scent, is very gentle on my skin, and doesn't break me out or cause discomofrt. This repellant seems to keep the mosquitoes away from me while doing yard work and lasts the whole time that I'm outside.The spray comes out in a fine mist that quickly settles on the skin and dries almost instantly, and hasn't left stains on my clothing.
