So I'm a Master Electrcian in 3 state's I have been in the industry for over 25years. These blocks are awesome first time I have seen these the do not penitrat the wall at all there surface mount and UL listed. So the only hole you drill is for the wire the rest goes right over the tyvek and yes a gfci outlet fits in them perfectly as well. I will buy se for my personal house I like them so much.

Painted up nicely, I put a bead of silicone around the base for added barrier. Only a small 5/8 hole through the house needed for the wire to come out then right in to the back of the box to whichever knockout works best for you. Also filled the hole in the house with silicone around the wire. Should be a tight seal to keep elements out
