The tool is fine. Nothing special one way or another. But at nearly $50 this tool is unbelievably over priced for what you get. It’s light weight (not in a good way). The head is cheap stamped steel. The cutting edge is very roughly ground. The welds are sloppy. In my opinion this is double the price it should cost. I’m really falling out of love with bully tools based on my last two purchases.

I had bought a Bully claw hoe previously and was really impressed with it because of the sturdy design and build. I bought this loop hoe from Bully and found it just as sturdy build. My only disappointment was the handle was a little shorter than my claw hoe. I had bought before tools made in China with the cheap wooden handles that were to short for my height and split up the middle of the shaft with no way to fix it. I can probably get a longer shaft and fit the loop hoe on it and not have to throw it away. Bully is an American made product and even though it cost a little more it will last longer. The 4 stars is only because the handle wasn’t as long as the claw hoe.

I have had a hula hoe like this in the past and found them to be fairly easy to use. This one for some reason is a struggle to find the rhythm with. It is well made, but difficult to sharpen and it has a pretty thick blade that kind of hangs up on things instead of going through. I think if I can find a way to get it sharp enough it will be better.

Sturdier than I expected. Perfect. I had a similar tool a long time ago, and was looking for a replacement. As a senior, bending over and weeding constantly was not a whole lot of fun. This tool works great in chopping off the weeds around my plants.

I was very excited about obtaining this hoe because of all the good reviews I had read. As soon as it arrived I took it from the packaging and went straight into my weedy garden. I brought the hoe down and moved it across the bed, and ...nothing! the head is very thick gauge for durability but there is no sharp edge. Tried different positions to cut the weeds, but nothing I did seemed to get the hoe to work as I anticipated. Thought at least it would chop the weeds, but no. Works more like a sledge hammer than a hoe. I grabbed my grandson's little hoe I bought him when he was 3 and within seconds cleared out more weeds than the much more costly Bully. Am I using it correctly - still looking for a video.

I read all of the rave reviews and thought, this sounds way too hyped and too good to be true. I also noted the reviews that said the bevel went the wrong way for it to be effective. I have a couple of Bully Tools garden tools and know they are very well constructed. So, I bought this one. It arrived yesterday and I got a chance to use it today in some flower beds that were overrun by weeds. It was a very challenging job and I held my breath for the first few strokes in the hard-packed soil. It ate those weeds easily. The tougher ones were dispatched by turning the hoe and using the corner to dig into the root. Huge dandelions were no match. I weeded in a few minutes an area that would have taken an hour to do the old fashioned way. All the hype isn't hype at all. This is an extremely well constructed tool designed to slay weeds. I have no idea what the reviews talking about the bevel being wrong are talking about. If this thing ever wears out (I doubt it would ever break), I would buy a replacement without reservation. Mark me down as another hyper happy owner.

I recently bought a cheap version of this to help with the weeds, I found that one kept bending and got tired of it and tossed it, now I came across this one and the quality is 100% better than expected, this does have some weight to it but it does what it's suppose to do, remove the weeds, keep in mind that this is not a sickle, which actually cuts the weeds, this pulls the weeds out as you run the tool thru them.

Hard not to love Bully Tools. Made in America - huge plus right there. Made with quality materials - again, huge plus. Tough as nails and gets the job done. Look, it's really simple folks, if you buy junk from China, you accomplish two things. You cost an American his or her job and you paid money for garbage that is going to break in a season or two. What's the point? I have no doubt that when I am too old to tend to a yard anymore, I will be able to pass this on to whichever of my kids wants it. And, if they take care of their tools - like they were taught - they could pass this on to their child. This is the kind of quality product I remember from my childhood when dads across America went to their neighborhood hardware store and bought a tool that lasted for decades. Tired of throwing money away on cheap junk? Tired of making Chinese billionaires even richer by buying trash products put together by Chinese prisoners for pennies an hour? Here's a solution. Buy a well made, American made and American assembled tool for your garden. This is sixth Bully Tools tool and I will keep buying from Bully whenever they have the tool I need. I paid less than $20 for this and I expect I will never have to buy another loop hoe again.

OK, I cant even tell you how excited I am to right this review for this loop hoe. This tool has changed my life. I am 42 years old I have a 4 year old and 2 year old, I work a desk job all week and consider myself a weekend warrior and a very competent DIYer. The last thing I want to do on the weekend is be on my hands and knees weeding. With just a simple push and pull action you cut and kill weeds and churn up the soil and yank up all the roots into a pile (see review of Shrub rake). Depending on the area you are working, the first time you use it will be the hardest, but after you have finished, weekly bed maintenance is a piece of cake. Now don't get discourage by when I say the first time is the hardest, you most likely wont even realize your actually doing work because you will just be amazed at how easy you are getting your weeding done. Has changed my life. Highly recommend.
