Shame on me for not digging deeper with this purchase. I assumed the following:1. On/Off switch - surely all electrical appliances have one, especially a commercial one, right? Nope. Not this one.2. Indicator light - when you turn it on, it has a light showing that power is on, right? Nope.3. Volume indicator - shows how much water remains inside, so a fire hazard is not created when it runs out. Nope.Also, packaging - lid, cap and screw were just tossed into the box, and I had to hunt through the seams in the box to find the screw, the lid was smudged as if it was already used, and there is no owner's manual.On the plus side, it does heat the water up...….but just don't let it run out of water, and unplug it from the wall when done using.

I got tired of using a huge 5 gallon water dispenser, which I only kept around for the instant hot feature. So I bought this to replace that feature, and absolutely love it. This is an industrial quality appliance for home use. Bunn is an industry leader in hot beverage dispensers I've come to find out. It hasn't let me down in close to two years.
