The merchant claimed in Amazon description that it is a natural Ruby from Burma. I tested by GIA which showed that it is a laboratory grown Ruby, not a natural product, in other words, it has no or little value. Be careful.

I collect stones. Some are treated, some are not. This one is definitely untreated it is a burnished brown/red. I like the cut and the unusual color just a hint of red comes thru. I’m not sure if it’s for everyone, but I have a number of rubies treated and untreated. So I plan to keep this one.For me I would have given 4 stars, but for the person looking for the picture red ruby the one I received is definitely not it!!
