This tarp comes with all things you need to get started on putting up a shelter. They give you some stakes as well as some paracord with the actual tarp so you can be off to the races. You get the most tie-off points I've seen also, so you can really configure this however you want. As long as you are okay with an 8x8 tarp to do so.It stores in a flat design which is different than other tarps I've seen. This might be more of a preference thing, but it allows you to fold the tarp instead of rolling it when you are done. It could fit in your backpack with your other items better as well. Something to play around with if you end up getting this. The only thing I don't much care for is the reflective coating of the tarp. If you know this bothers you, then look elsewhere. Otherwise, this is a great tarp that also offers you a bunch of extras for your adventures.

So full disclosure: I actually got this to use as a cover for my manual wheelchair when it is being transported on the back of my car. Let me explain…I am currently saving up to get a wheelchair accessible vehicle since I am now in a wheelchair full time, but until I can get that I only have my Toyota Corolla for occasional trips out. Since the car is so small, I have to use my manual chair, and the chair STILL doesn’t fit into the car at all. I’ve made do by using a bike rack on the back to carry the chair which works perfectly most of the time, but if it rains then the chair gets soaked! I had been looking for something that could cover the chair during transport and properly protect it but could do so while it was in this strange position strapped onto a bike rack. This tarp turned out to be the solution, and I can also keep it for down the line for our camping adventures as well! The tarp is large and comes with a bunch of tie downs and adjustable straps to allow me to protect my chair while it is on the car. This tarp and the included accessories feels sturdy, so I hope I will have it to use for a long time to come. While I can’t yet speak to how it works as a camp shelter, I can say that so far it is excellent for what I got it for and has kept my chair completely dry even in a torrential downpour. Five stars and more, A++++! Highly recommend, especially since you can obviously use this for multiple purposes!

I ordered this tarp as part of my bugout bag for emergency situations like an earthquake, wildfire, etc. I wanted something that would be compact but able to withstand weeks of heavy weather if necessary while remaining set up the whole time. This tarp along with the stakes and guy lines is more compact than the standard thin blue or brown plastic ones you can find at box stores but it is MUCH sturdier. It also features a reflective surface on the inside which could come in handy in some survival situations by rolling up in it or by setting it up to reflect the warmth of a camp fire on your back.Summers here are bone dry so I can't speak to its waterproofness but it has a 2,000 PU waterproof coating. I couldn't find any data on an actual waterproof rating of any kind which is disappointing. The manufacturer also claims it is "lightweight" but 3.25lbs is actually pretty heavy for a tarp. I have a strong cuben fiber tarp the same size with guy lines and stakes that weighs less than 1 pound. I wouldn't be carrying a tarp like this on my back, but would definitely use it car camping or take it along if I had motorized transport like a quad.Overall it's a very high quality and sturdy tarp in a complete package that makes it easy to buy and toss in a bugout bag.

This is a nice tarp, extremely versatile and easy to work with. It actually has more attachment points than I know what to do with, but I especially appreciate the four points half way between the center and each corner, and the reinforced center that's perfect for using with a tarp pole (or most anything like one). There are no eyelets, all the attachments are box-stitched nylon straps, which I like. I've had too many eyelets tear and I have confidence in these straps.Everything here is well constructed. All the seams on the tarp are even, properly finished and taped. The cordage is the standard guyline cord that comes with everything and has plastic tensioners and a reflective pattern. The stakes are pretty serious, they're like Y-stakes but with only two sides instead of three. They're steel and heavy at 1.4oz a piece! I'm used to using aluminum Y-stakes and I'm probably going to switch to using those with this tarp as well, because I don't camp in many places that have dirt that needs such serious stakes. The four carabiners included with this tarp are also heavy at 0.94oz each, but they seem plenty tough. There are a lot of ways you can use this. It's really sized for a single person (I have the 8ftx8ft) but you can pitch it on the ground at least half a dozen ways and it's also big enough for use diagonally with a hammock. I'm a fan. It packs down fairly flat in the included sack and takes up very little space in a pack. Nice tarp.

I got this to keep for emergency purposes. The quality of the material is much better than I had expected, it's definitely a tarp shelter that I could use again and again without worry that it won't hold up. My intended purpose for this tarp is to store in a go bag or in my vehicle so that we are never without a solution! I am really glad I got this setup, especially considering it has everything I need combined to make a shelter rather than trying to find and pack the individual items. It's a super cool set up that really brings me peace of mind!

I like the quality of the tarp. The stitching looks very well done and there are tie down points everywhere! It feels very sturdy. The bag it comes in is compact and light. Easy to take to the beach or camping. I have it in my emergency pack since it is much easier to haul around than a tent and probably more water proof.
