I first thought I was going to have to return this torch as it would go straight flamethrower when I turned it up but that was right after I filled it. I started a return and went to burn off the fuel so it could be returned and low and behold it works like advertised!LET THE FUEL SETTLE AFTER FILLING!!I'm very happy with this torch and you will be too

Saw the box the lighter came in and was pretty surprised how nice it looked! The lighter also is super nice! The internals are garbage! Spent $8 bucks locally on chef grade butane (Big Green Egg) so that I could have a cleaner butane for use with cooking! Filled the lighter up, clicked it and it fired right up! Messed with it some more and worked great! Sat it down for a few hours and picked it back up to use it again and just click, no flame! Tried over and over, nothing! Figured ok it might be the igniter so got another lighter to keep lit while I clicked the trigger, nothing! Followed instructions where it says to press the insertion point on the bottom to purge butane already in the lighter before filling it? What!? Why would you do that? Purged about 5 seconds full, all over my hand! Tried to refill for the 10 seconds and it sent 4 seconds before spewing liquid butane everywhere! Do not buy this foreign piece of garbage! This is proof you can polish a turd! Spend a little extra and get something not sold by this company!

I got this to light my starter paper/twigs/kindling in a fireplace so I don't go through so many matches. It never lights on the first try. I have to press the trigger a second time. I don't know how much butane is boing lost on the first press, but it never will light on the first try. It's ok for the price. Not sure how long a full fill of butane will last.
