They hold more liquid and remove carbon faster than ordinary cotton flannel patches. A special fabric used in laboratories and cleanrooms, Triple Twill's special weave has hundreds of tiny "ridges and drop zones" which scrub and capture residues far better than other patches. Butch's Triple Twill patches don't shed lint and have been specially treated for maximum absorbency.

These patches are great. They're thick and do a really good job cleaning my bores. They also don't shed, which is nice.One key point is that you may have to use a smaller jag when using these. For example, they may say they work for a .30 caliber, but you might need to use a .270 jag to get the patch through the bore.I definitely recommend these patches. They're tough and do a great job.

Just make sure you get the right size since they run a little tight. Their rough texture is what make them a superior patch for bore cleaning. You can always trim a little off with scissors if they are too too tight...

I started cleaning with the cheap, super-thin patches that come with most cleaning kits, and those sucked big time. So I took a chance on Butch's patches, and I will never use anything else. Very heavy duty ridged twill that grabs dirt and crud like a magnet. The .22 patches are a little too beefy to use with a jag, but with a slotted tip they do a great job of scouring the barrel of both my .22LR and my 5.56mm rifle. A very good product.
