I have this mounted on the back porch. There are some 2 x 6 joist in my house frame that I have it mounted to. This isn't going anywhere. I feel it safe to say that this mount will be up there for as long as this house is here.

The swing hanging kit is heavy duty with places for 4 lag screws. The springs absorb any shock from sitting too quickly, and the "hinge" works smoothly and quietly.

Works great and is strong. However, you should remove the bearing bolt prior to install. Not a huge deal but I did not realize til I began. When you start the lag bolt on the nut side of the bearing bolt, your socket will get hung on it (bearing bolt nut) when it starts to bottom out. I had to finish with a open end wrench. Just a little irritating. Other than that........seems to be a quality product once installed.

I love the springiness when I sit down in my swing and it helps take away the hardness or abrasive pressure on the mounting bolts.
