After setup, the stand seemed to be fairly capable. That being said, the clamp that secures the upper pole to the lower pole seems faulty. Every time I clamped the height of the upper pole, the clamp popped off. This caused the upper part of the stand to swivel with the bike on it. It is hard to work on a bike the swivels from left to right.

Bike stands can be expensive for a nice one. While this doesn’t seem like anything special it works perfectly. The quick release makes it good when I am adjusting multiple bikes, it collapses to a very portable size, and I haven’t had any issues with it slipping. Would recommend.

First, beware that any review dated older than mine is referencing a different bike stand with a different design. The one I received doesn’t have any adjustability in the clamp, which is strange considering it’s a type of quick release and barely holds my 1-inch seatpost. It works fine overall, but I would recommend paying a bit more for a better model with adjustments to the quick release. The one I was going to buy went up in price right before I purchased, so I thought I’d give this one a shot since it was now about $20 cheaper. Bleh.

The only reason to buy this model is its lower price. YES - It can hold the bike for most maintenance tasking. But the design, actuators, and overall construction of this stand are weird and over complicated for the job.I am not as fond of 2-leg stands as with the 3-leg types. It is fine as long as you watch your load balance to be aware of any tipping potential. The struts that allow the legs to fold down seemed to stop short of the perfect position. This required a minor mod on my part but was not a show stopper. The pole height itself has no adjustment. It seems to be at a fairly good height, so I only mention it to say that you cannot change it.Furthermore, the little “tool tray” is fixed at its mounting location such that it cannot be moved either. Having a tool holder is nice - so “something” is far better than “nothing”.The clamp that holds the bike frame by its top tube is ok - but a bit clunky and weird - as all adjustment mechanisms on this stand seem to be. They are all functional - and since you are only after a way to hold the bike securely in position, they do the job.I did use a soft cloth to act as cushion on the top tube, to guarantee no marring was possible to the paint. All in all - I used it for assembly and adjudtment of two new bicycles I just bought. After a minor “getting use to” period - it served the purpose without failure. If you are looking for a stand on a budget - I would consider this one. But if you are a pro, or need the best - then I recommend paying the premium for something like the Park Tool PRS-22.2 model.

Definitely a good stand. I have an Electric fat tire mountain bike that weighs about 50 pounds. With the stand fully extended vertical, it wants to collapse due to the weight but if you have the bike at about waist height all is fine. I wish they had made some sort of hole with a pin for more stability. I may take this upon myself in the future.

Seems sturdy enough. On mine the rotation teeth would not full engage. I was able to sneak a ball head Allen wrench around the handle in the back that you rotate, and twist the gripper part by hand to adjust it for full engagement. This is the only weak point I ave found, we will see how it holds up adjusted properly.

I rarely say “wow” with bike shop products, but I’ve used a few budget-priced bike stands in the past. This one puts them all to shame. Rivals many professional bike-shop stands out there. Adjustment joints are strong and heavy-duty. Stand is heavy and well-supported. Full 360 range of adjustability and the clamps hold strong and tight. Only weak point may be the toothed joint for rotation, but only time will tell if this plastic joint will hold up. Amazing deal for less than $60. Get this one.
