Scared this thing with fall and crack. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I guess it gets the job done but not sure about its durability.

It is perfect for when you're doing some work at a small table or desk. I tried to use one of the larger votives, but they are too big for the container. The small votives do a good job keeping your mug of tea or coffee warm.

Update - this was a nice ceramic warmer while it lasted. It broke and so I ended up buying one made of cast iron instead.For those reviewers saying it doesn’t keep your teapot warm I recommend that you put a better tea light candle underneath. I’ve recently been purchasing the Stonebriar tea lights with a longer burn time from Amazon. I used to purchase similar unscented tea lights from the Cost Plus World Market but they raised their prices. This warmer only works if you have a decent flame under it. I thought since the description said this warmer is cast iron that it would be heavier. It is not. This is a lightweight warmer. It has 3 plastic dots to keep the top screen in place evenly. The dots do come off frequently so I have to reapply them when I relight the warmer with a new tea light inside. I suppose you could fit 2 tea lights inside the warmer if you wanted it to be hotter. For me, it keeps my coffee cup warm. I’ve also used it for a candle wax melt successfully.Hope this helps.

My main problem with this product is the design. The air holes on the sides are not large enough to accommodate a candle without it going out from lack of oxygen. Luckily I have found a good solution to this. I used some paperclips to construct little "feet" to raise the round surface that the tea pot sits on from the rest of the base. This gap lets air in to keep the candle lit.

Exactly what I was looking for, a candle tea warmer. Looks clean, is sturdy, and it's the right size for a mug to a medium pot of tea. Use one of the smaller tea lights and there will be zero soot on the bottom of the mugs/pots.
