This tool is excellent! Having used one made by a different company, I saw this one for a reasonable, but not cheap, price.I was very excited when I received the package, especially because it actually does come in a padded carrying case. However, the case is made out of a cheap plastic, and one of the securing tabs was already broken when I opened the package.Working for a cabinet company, I do a lot of different things, so I wasn't able to use the tool immediately. Once I was able to utilize it, it worked very well! However, as the title of this review indicates, the utility of the tool depends on the fabrication.Some draw backs I immediately noticed were that the securing fasteners on tool did not stay tight, keeping the tool from sliding along the ruler, unless tightened by a wrench. Hand tight did not cut it.Also, on the second day of use, the entire middle portion would no longer tighten at all, with the slot where the fasteners screw-in stripped.Also, part of the tool is made with aluminum, which dents very easily. Also, out of the package there were some sharp and dented edges, and I noticed sometimes it would dig into the cabinet door paint. If this happened after... a couple months of use, I may understand that, but not right "out of the box."Thankfully, this company has a 90 money back guarantee, so I will see if this particular tool is defective or the fabrication process is faulty.I will update once I have returned the first tool, and used the second.

Works great. Customize to any size. And customizable to any location. Better than the plastic template. Plastic ones you can't raise handle to a higher height, because they have a fixed pattern. Just make sure screws are tight on jig. I have tried different templates and jigs. This is my favorite. Good quality.

If you need to install knobs or handles on drawers or cabinet doors, this tool will save you a lot of time and aggravation making sure everything is level and accurate. My wife and I built a brand new house with lots of draws and cabinet doors. She did not trust the builder to hire a competent person to install the knobs and handles, so guess who had to do it, yep me. There are other tools and ways to install them, but this tool help keep my patience in check and the result was a happy wife (happy wife, happy life).

It was exactly what I needed and was exactly as advertised. I had used a couple of templates I purchased at the hardware store prior to purchasing this item, but the templates got sloppy with use and the templates were nearly impossible to use with consistency on kitchen base cabinet drawers. This product is a must have if you want professional installation of your knobs or handles. 5 Stars. Two "thumbs up!"

For the cost in comparison to the profesional grade similar tool this works great. If taken care of I’m sure this tool will last a long time. Only thing I wish was that the ruler had more distinct numerated measurements lined out besides inches

Works good. My only gripe is that the screws that tighten the adjustments will come loose. You have to watch for that otherwise you will drill the wrong size holes
