I started by putting this suncatcher at my kitchen window, but quickly decided that I would prefer to look at it more often, so I put it in the window by my computer desk. This desert themed stained glass suncatcher is well made & really shines beautifully in the sunlight.The glass itself is one piece & lightweight, compared to soldered, pieced stained glass. This makes it much more practical to hang with the provided suction cup hook.If you area looking to brighten & cheer up your space, this is definitely a pretty way to so!

I’m delighted with this stained glass sun catcher. The colors are beautiful, the desert scene is clear and the black frame has no seams or weld spots. It was nicely packed so I received it with no damage. Also included is an attached chain for hanging from a hook or the included suction cup. It looks stunning with the light shining through and is definitely gift giving worthy. Well done!

I have a lot of fun decorating the windows with sun catchers, changing them with the seasons and holidays, and just for fun! I saw this stained glass sun catcher, at a great price, and ordered. Wow! This is truly lovely and unique, and reminds me of the 10 years I spent in the arid area around El Paso (but not saguaro). The colors are eye catching and the overall effect is very realistric. The sun catcher is very well made of quality material; the rim is securely attached, and the stained glass sparkles and glitters when the sun hits it. It is simply enchanting, and I am delighted. This would also make a great gift for any occasion.

This stained glass flowering cactus window decoration is really beautiful! I love the vibrant colors and it looks wonderful hanging next to some of my cacti in the window.It comes packed in a flat box surrounded by foam to cushion it and protect the glass.While this is beautiful, it is not true cut-and-pieced-and-soldered-together stained glass art. It is a clear textured round piece of glass, with the cactus picture pasted on one side. I am not sure what the picture is made of, if it's epoxy, acrylic or what it is. It has some texture to it and the black lines stick up some. I also hope the color does not fade over time. Then it has a metal frame around it with a metal chain attached. The chain seems sturdy enough but since this is glass and I'm a little weary about the suction cup being the sole thing holding it up in the window, I attached a safety chain hooked onto a cup hook screwed into the wall above the window.You can have it hang with the textured side towards you, which creates a more rippled look of the picture, or you can have the smooth side towards you which creates a crisper look.Overall I love it hanging in the window by my cactus collection.

This suncatcher looks pretty nice. It says it's painted by hand, but honestly, it would be hard to tell if it weren't. The base disk looks kind of like a paint-by-number affair, where there are ridges where the paint/stain is supposed to be applied (see first photo). The overall appearance is a bit dark for my taste (see second photo). Yes, it'a black cat, but all the detail around the edge from about 4 o'clock to 10 o'clock is so dark it doesn't contribute to the image.One of the failure points of things like this are the suction cups used to mount them to the glass. This one is holding up well. It's been there for a few days and no sign of losing its grip. I put it just above the window frame so it doesn't have far to fall if the mounting suction cup comes loose. So far that seems unnecessary.

This lovely suncatcher is hanging in my window while I write this and I am enjoying the rich colors as the sun shines through it. It is the perfect gift for the cat lover in your life. The silk screened picture of the black kitten sitting on the book with a scale and flowers in the picture is absolutely charming. The suncatcher which is 8 inches in diameter, comes with a chain to hang it and a suction cup (although I hesitated to use the suction cup to hang it as I was afraid that the actual suncatcher is too heavy to hang from the suction cup. I opted to hang it by the chain from the window lock instead.) The glass that is used in the suncatcher is pebbled which adds to the sparkle of the sun on it. The box it comes in is well insulated from shocks and breakage with foam and can be used as a (rather plain) gift box. My only quarrel with the suncatcher is that the picture here on the Amazon page does not show very well at all how pretty the suncatcher is. MUCH nicer in person!

This is a gorgeous suncatcher! To me, the online pics just don't do it justice at all. In real life, the colors look much more vivid and really rich. Plus, this suncatcher also has some texture on one side of the glass, like little bumps all over. I didn't really know what the bumps were for until I hung the suncatcher up and realized that the bumps actually create sparkles all over when the sun hits them just right. So, so nice! The frame doesn't feel super sturdy, but I think it will be sufficient. The chain feels pretty strong, and should also do its job. A suction cup is included for hanging, but I don't want to trust this beautiful suncatcher to it. I'd rather hang it from a hook, instead. This definitely gets five stars from me, and I would highly recommend it to others.
