My main problem is lime, this works really well on toilet bowl rings, ran it through the dishwasher and that really helped my dishes going forward, cleaned the build up on glasses and faucets.

Regarding residue around lid of teapot...we have very hard water. Works well, but still left some residue that I could not get off after numerous reapplications. Key to true success I feel is to not let the residue build up as much I had.
