La calculadora ha funcionado bien, las 3 estrellas son por el vendedor, ya que el empaque estaba abierto, no sé si mi calculadora en específico haya sido una devolución o algo por el estilo.

I recently tried out the actual materials estimator app off the Google play store for my Samsung and while I really liked having the application on my phone for ease of use (1 week trial), I decided that the yearly fee to use was too expensive to pay year after year after year. So I opted to buy the physical version. I like the simplicity of this device and hope to really utilize it in my sales department of a large retail building supply company. So far it's working just great! I wish though that it did calculations for cylindrical cement forming tubes. It does slabs though. Other staff are taking notice of it as well. I have been putting it to good use!

I impulsively bought this item without doing my research thinking that it was a construction calculator. That is not the fault of anyone but myself, but I can say that it works good for estimating material and is a good quality calculator

This works great for the tasks needed at my job. It’s sturdy, the right size, and is exactly what is described. Home Depot sells almost the exact same items for quite a bit more.

I started with the very first Construction Master calculator, then bought the Construction Master II. both very old. When I started to have problems after decades, I was pleasantly surprised how Calculated Industries have innovated their product lines - some very specific for your trades. I just bought the Material Estimator and the Construction Master Pro at the same time. Saves time and ensures accuracy. Highly recommended from the remodeler to the builder and subcontractor trades!

This was purchased to replace the same model calculator that I bought roughly 10 years ago. It has been a great calculator for my needs. I need to do a lot of calculations using inches and feet and also converting back and forth from metric and this has suited me well. After 10 years of use the first one started getting some inconsistent button presses and the flip cover broke off. I bought this one to keep at my desk at work and then opened up the old one and cleaned off all the contacts inside and taped the covers hinge back on and put it in my backpack for when I go to job sites. I don't expect to need to buy another one for at least 10 years.

What is 25 feet 7 inches divided by three? Of course you could do this calculation by hand - 25 feet times 12 plus 7 divided by three, then convert back to feet/inches, but this thing does it with a few clicks, and is accurate, and has a scrolling memory so it is it wins out over the manual method. It also does many other calculations and has a handy pouch for the manual and a integrated cover to protect it from dirt and spills. The yellow case is a nice touch so you can find it quick in a pile of tools.

I bought this calculator for an estimating class that I was taking. We had to regularly look at plans, do dimension takeoffs and add them all up in order to quantify building components. This calculator excels at quickly adding up feet/inch measurements (including fractions of an inch), as well as converting between cubic feet, cubic yards, etc. Entering dimensions is as easy as pressing 5 6 1 / 16 (to enter 5' 6-1/16"). You can do all the basic functions, multiplication, division, etc. When you multiply feet by inches, you can get the result in square inches, feet, or yards. There are additional functions in the calculator that I haven't used very much. You can take a measurement and convert it to useful quantities, such as board feet, tons of gravel, gallons of paint, etc. You can even set a standard cost for the item so that you can then calculate a price. For instance, you can do a takeoff of a wall, find that it's 450 square feet, then convert that to gallons of paint, and then convert that to a price. The calculator is nice because it's got a flip cover that's hard and will prevent the buttons from being pressed while it's in your backpack or pocket. The bright yellow plastic is nice because I've already caught myself leaving it behind twice. It can run on either solar power or the internal battery. There's a little door in the back of the calculator that opens up so that you can store the manual with it. The calculator comes with two versions, one in Spanish and one in English. The manual is easy to follow and provides lots of examples on how to use the fancier functions.Definitely a great buy. Even if you're only using this to add up fractions and quickly convert between units, it's well worth it. It's more convenient and definitely faster than using my TI-89 to do the same thing. It's also way cheaper too. One gripe I have is that it doesn't display more digits. Not a big deal, but when you're multiplying large jobs and calculating costs, it will give you an error if the answer is over 7 digits (ie. it can only go up to 9,999,999).Make sure to read the manual or keep it with the calculator. There are a lot of cool features it has, but unless you use them regularly, you'll need to refer to the manual in order to see how to get the functions to work.
