The cord is a nice feature but I noticed that these don't block enough noise. I used these when I shot my AK-47 and noticed they didn't block as much sound as the cheap orange ear plugs you get at Wal-Mart. By then end of the shooting session my ears were ringing. I would recommend you look elsewhere for earplugs.

Quick and easy to use, plus the cord solves the age old problem of where did I put my earplugs. Around my neck, duh.

The earplugs and cord are 5 star durable, but these don't offer the "NRR 31 rated" protection in my opinion. I wear these under my muffs and the Home Depot (50c disposables) are better.
