About this item

  • 44-degree contained baseplate,
  • This Caliber truck features a 10" axle
  • Blood Orange Bushings 89A DOUBLE barrels
  • Grade 8 steel kingpin

The Forty-Four Caliber is built for speed. The 44-degree hanger angle allows performance riders to push the limits of downhill racing. To further optimize the trucks' stability, the Blood Orange Bushings are configured with two 89A Ultra-High Rebound barrels to avoid high-speed wobbles. Like all Caliber Trucks, the kingpin is made of grade 8 steel to ensure that your trucks will stay in one piece, no matter how hard you push them.

A year ago, I was looking for trucks that are good for downhill and are affordable, and I kept hearing about these Caliber trucks. A lot of people were saying that they're good for downhill if you get the 44 degree ones since they are more lower to the ground at higher speeds. Others were saying that they could be better and aren't that good. After getting some Riptide bushings, and being comfortable riding down hills, I can say that these trucks are really good for riding down hills and are surprisingly stable. So far, I can say that I had speed wobbles only once, but that was because I didn't have the trucks tightened that well. The bushings that come with the trucks are good, but I needed something more than those blood orange barrels for me to have more stability since the hills where I live are pretty steep when you go down them. The only small con I have of these truck is because the 44 degree trucks being so low, when you carve hard, depending on the board you have, you'll get wheelbite, but you can just grab the board and turn it where you need to go. That or tic-tacing it.I would say, after experimentation and trying some things, if you want to bomb hills fast, I would say buy these 44 degree trucks. I would recommend buying riptide bushings to help you feel more stable when it comes to going down hill super super fast.

Trucks hold up great. Granted, I bought them to cruise (also didn’t know a bigger brand that shall remain nameless made bigger trucks) for my 10.1in wide deck. Also, color scheme kinda just worked out. But great trucks for a good price

Solid tucks, soft bushings, great for drop-through decks. Low and lean. Swap the bushings out with stiffer ones before any major downhill. Otherwise, awesome freestyle performance out of the box. Super light, and super solid.

Great trucks, I got the 44's. They shortened up the wheelbase by a little bit (at least compared to my bear grizzlies on the same deck). The turn on them is amazing. Came on time and made my board so much better!

Great for downhill riding due to the low angle that the hanger is placed at. Low hanger placement for better stability. Very sturdy and they look great. I took these bad boys on some downhill mountain roads and they were super stable and I never got a hint of speed wobbles. My current set up is venom barrel bushings front and back, dark red infront and white in back for stability. With flat washers all the way around. Defiantly get some speed rings to add to the ones it comes with if you are planning on using biggie hawgs.

now the bushing thing changes on preference but at 165lbs they are great for me, stable for downhill and turny enough to freeride. onto the trucks themselves the bushing seats are very nice but some may consider a little restrictive but i like the nice flush fit with the bushing also these trucks have faced hangers like all good trucks SHOULD as it really helps your bearings perform also like the pivot cup its already a nice urethane piece not sure on duro but its better than that rubber cr*p some companies use. overall a great truck for downhill or freeride depending on your wheelbase options thats cheap and well setup stock unlike most where changing bushings is almost must for proper performance. also want to note that caliber trucks have zero caster hangers so if u flip the hanger nothing changes some ppl like this some dont.
