I am happy with these pens. I have had no issues with ink flow or smoothness. They are a little shorter than regular pens and that has me worried about how long they are going to last. They hold comfortably in my hands and don't feel like they held back on quality when making these.

NOT calligraphy pens. I should have read the listing more closely, they JUST BLACK MARKERS. They are not calligraphy pens, they do not have any bevel or chiseled edges. They are simply black markers in various thicknesses. Great if you just need markers, sucks if you are needing calligraphy pens.

Okay, first off let me say that these pens are NOT waterproof or even smudge proof if you don't let them dry completely. I do a lot of watercolor and ink work and would not use these to sketch under watercolor, but they would work fine over watercolor as long as paint is totally dry (but would not be archival).However, I also do lots of doodley type art and Zentangles. For this, these are fabulous. The ink is very black, the ten different sizes are fantastic. Ink goes down really well, did not get any dry brushes, and the different nib shapes are great. I was surprised at how much I love these pens considering the price compared to many of the pens I normally use (Sakura Microns, Faber Castelle, Posca, Staedtler, and many others) I would say I am a black pen collector and have A LOT of them. I will definitely order these again and also look at other products this company offers. You're getting a big bang for your buck with this set of pens.

This pack would be really good for someone who is just starting to experiment with calligraphy. A few of the pens are more "brush-style" so that the thickness of the stroke is dependent on how hard you push down. A few are chiseled tips, so the thickness of the stroke will be dependent on how you angle the pen. And a few are just regular type rounded tips. I think that the brush pens may fray just a tinnnnny bit over time. So you'll have crisp lines at the start, but they'll get fuzzy over time. The different thicknesses of the pens will give you flexibility with the sizing of your penmanship.

This is a nice starter set of calligraphy pens. It has assorted sizes of pens with firm and thin tips, and a soft brush style. The pens are great for trying different shapes and designs. They have a water based black ink that makes them easy to use, and they don't have a scent (which always bothers me). The description says the ink is fadeproof, which is a benefit if you're using the pens for a gift or maybe somthing formal. These are a smaller size than a typical pen, but I this didn't create a problem for me when I used them. They write really smoothly and are easy to use. I was happy with the assortment of pens included and the ink was nice and black. I think these are a good deal for what you get.

I ordered this set of Calligraphy Pens, 10 Size Calligraphy Pens for Writing, Brush Pen Calligraphy Set for Beginners, Calligraphy Brush Pens, Hand Lettering Pen for Art Drawing, Sketching, Scrapbooking to use when journaling and scrapbooking.I enjoy making elaborate charts and graphs in my bullet journal, and I have a lot of fun with lettering and even some calligraphy. I was pleased to see this set had a variety of different tips; excellent for lettering work. I did have a bit of trouble with the widest tips; there are two chiseled tips that are supposed to create thick, rectangular black lines. I found it difficult to find the correct angle to get that flat, rectangular line weight; however, these tips worked well when used more flexibly, like a regular pen.I’m left handed, which may be part of why I struggled to get that flat rectangular line from the two widest chiseled tips. Lefties work from different angles; I didn’t have any issues with the ink smudging or smearing, but it was hard for me to find the correct angle to replicate the thick, rectangular band of ink displayed in the sales photos.The other eight pens worked great; I like the variety of line weights a lot. I tested these on a variety of different papers, including heavy sketch paper, lightweight printer paper, regular printer paper, legal pad, and pages of several journals, including a Moleskine, Leuchtturm1917, and some generic journals. In general, the pens didn’t bleed or ghost through the paper. There was a bit of ghosting with the lightweight printer paper and the generic journals with the thinnest paper, but only when using the heaviest tip and trying to apply a lot of ink. Basically, if I really tried to make the ink bleed through, it only worked with the heaviest pen nib on the lightest of the papers I tested. No ghosting or bleed through for regular use.I like the wide range of tips; there are super fine felt tips, wider chiseled tips, even brush tips of various line weights. This is an excellent set for beginners or anyone who wants to brush up a bit on lettering skills. I’m not sure if I would recommend it as a calligraphy set, only because the tips aren’t specifically calligraphy tips. You could use some of these pens to practice the scrollwork.At the current price ($7.99) I think this is a nice bargain for a set of lettering pens; the various weights and tips are excellent for bullet journaling and scrapbooking. These would also be useful in paper crafting, especially card making, and the different line weights would be useful for cartooning.

This is a nice set for beginners or children who want to learn calligraphy. Having a marker-style pen, rather than a dip-in ink pen, is much easier and cleaner. The set includes 10 pens with tips ranging from thick to thin, as well as brush-style tips. The markers are easy to hold, and the ink flows nicely. However, some tips made it more difficult to get a solid black consistency.These pens may be better suited for artwork rather than calligraphy, like personalizing favors and other crafts. They do appear to be water-resistant, and I hope they last a long time.

Great set of calligraphy pens! I tested each of them and the ink flows clear and crisp for all ten. (Being a beginner at calligraphy, I did hold one pen at the wrong angle before realizing my mistake - but the pen itself worked fine once I was using it correctly!). Looking forward to learning some calligraphy using these pens.
