I do not use this as a traditional door mat but I would in a protected area .Its is very good quality. I have hardwood floors in my kitchen. I put my dogs water bowls on it to protect the floor from water spills . It goes perfectly with my floors and is a cute decorative accent . My dogs are small and pretty tidy. I wouldn’t recommend using it for larger slurpy dogs though . Very happy with the purchase love the look of the flower design .
