The price is great, it does not come with a clamp, so need to re-use existing one, but does have the gasket kit for the head pipe. Yes you can cut the rubber spacers down or just use longer bolts. Great buy

This is a pretty good quality product and seems to be holding up very well. The cheap alternative to the official factory part for the Kawasaki Bayou ATV.Other people have mentioned this but I will also mention it. The upper mounting bracket doesn’t fit without modification. The rubber grommets are too thick. This is an easy fix, my solution was to cut off both of the rubber grommets and the aluminum tubes nearly flush on one side of the upper mounting bracket holes. This makes the bracket fit in the factory slot and provide the vibration protection the rubber grommets are there for.Our bayou has been used heavily used since my dad bought it new, first for his use, then for his grandchildren when he upgraded to a 4x4 ATV. It has been well maintained through the years and almost always stored indoors when not in use. The only things ever replaced were the starter motor under warranty, tires, oil, spark plugs and filters and a couple batteries over the years. I mention this because the only part of the exhaust system that was bad was the muffler itself which was rotted out due to moisture collection in the muffler. Still, 20 years is a pretty good lifespan for a factory original muffler. I don’t expect this replacement to last anywhere near as long.The job took about an hour, we were in no hurry. Since our ATV is in really good condition, both removal and installation were super easy, as all the exhaust pipe and mounting areas are straight and clean. Expect to spend more time and effort on a thrashed trashed crashed or unmaintained Kawasaki. My dad made his grandchildren clean and maintain ours before and after every use, which is a good lesson for everyone to learn! As he would say “Ten minutes of work before you have fun will save you a whole day of trying to fix it when it breaks.” and “Clean it up and check everything when you’re done with it. I don’t want mud and $h!t all over the garage floor.”My dad may be gone now, but to this day the ATV’s all get treated as if my dad is standing there saying those words every time.Although I don’t think he would approve of this aftermarket muffler, he would be okay with it so long as you promised to be the one to replace it when it goes bad!

I wasn't about to spend 350.00 on a muffler for a 1000 machine, but I couldn't deal with the noise from the rotted muffler. I bought this one, it's heavy duty, fit well, and is as quiet as the original. I had to use a few longer bolts, but the whole process took 20 minutes. Very happy!
