Whatever you do, do not buy this part it is a piece of junk the seller is a joke I put it in my bike less than a week after I got it put together it took a crap on me does seller won't warranty it won't do anything save yourself the headache and the money look for something else!!!!!!!!!

Had this installed after receiving it. It lasted less than 50 miles. Need less to say, I walked my r1 about a mile home.

Item arrived on my door step, took part to local professional motorcycle shop to be installed. 200 dollars later my bike was fixed. 300 miles down the road the stator takes a dive! This so happens to be while I am out on the bike. $80 later the tow truck driver drops my bike back at the house. I call caltic with my concerns, and was told I could send my old one back, for a partial refund. Don't mind the year warranty, because they were out of stock. This solution, to me was crazy! Not only has this one product cost me a lot of money, I also didn't think it would fail in less than 300 miles!Thank you amazon for stepping up to the plate and making the situation right. Amazon reimbursed me for the full amount 5 stars! Everyone be weary when ordering from 3rd party sellers as most parts come from china and the distributers could care less about standing behind the product!
