bought this for my ‘86 xv700 (as it’s listed for). Put it in and spend a week trying to figure out why my bike that ran before wouldn’t start after. After having to pull all the crap off my bike again to inspect I put it in correctly I realized that the wiring for this part is completely backwards for my stock bike.If you buy one double check the wiring against your old pickup coil to make sure it matches yours. I had to swap the green and red for each other and the blue and brown with each other at the connector.Once I figured that out my bike ran better than it has in years.
