These covers do not stay in place while putting on a trailer cover. The spout that they are supposed to protect is tapered and they pop off of it very easily. One star is very generous.

We like these but we do tape them on to camper a little too stay on while we put on tarp. But once put they work very well to protect tarp.

These are great. Larger surface area then a pool noodle or tennis ball. On our Cougar 22MLS it clipped firmly in place, which is the exact feature I was looking for. You have to line the gutter up in the slot correctly, but you can feel it click in place and it resists pulling back off. Our gutter spout has a small ridge at the tip that the clip hooks into.

I've read a lot of negative info about putting gutter spout guards on and I don't understand all the hub-bub. I installed my RV cover, unzipped the corners, got up on my ladder, pulled the cover up over the spouts, pressed the protectors on and dropped the cover and zipped it up. Went spectacularly easy. The cover pushing against them actually holds them in place more. So, now let's see how they hold up to 48" of snow over the winter. But so far I love them.

Lots of bad reviews but you need to be smarter than the item for it to work correctly. My weekend warrior did not allow these to be used as advertised. I cover the unit and the cover is super heavy, like a boat cover and the protectors didn't work.I dried fit the protectors, drilled a few holes in the units and utilized framing rope (very tough and very versatile) to attach them across the roof and down the body. I tensioned the rope little by little until the protectors contacted the body and final tension to make a super tight fit.The cover was installed and the units stayed in place.Great design for the person that can think outside the box
