I've only used it for two camping trips thus far. However, it easily holds two bikes without issues. I did use an extra strap to ensure the bikes were firmly in place, even if the ladder failed. Haven't had any issues though. It held an adult and a child bike. We have bikes specifically for camping that aren't high quality so I didn't carefully observe for excess rattling.

The rack held up with two bicycles but the ladder on the RV did not. The aluminum ladder broke after a few weeks of traveling

I have a bumper mount rack for my wife's trike, so I needed to mount my mountain bike on the ladder. This rack was easy to install. The ONLY thing I would recommend is to use ratchet straps vs the straps it came with. I bought a set of 8 of them from Amazon. I use 3 of them on trike, and 2 of them on the ladder rack. One is used to secure the bottom of the rack to the ladder, and the second is to secure the bike to the ladder below the rack. No movement at all once that was done. The only other thing I did was put some padding on the ladder rung where the bike rests against the ladder. I have been on 2 trips already with this rack and it was a great purchase.

Straps did not work through spokes as described. Had to get different straps. Shouldn’t have to spend money when the correct items should be included as stated.

I have an arctic fox 990 truck camper which has a fairly slim ladder on the back but I think the ladder is just as slim as the one I had on my grand design fifth wheel, so I think they’re all similar in any case. If I were to build a rack myself, I would make it just like this one! It has stainless steel screws and lock nuts in all the right places, and it fits my ladder perfectly, and does not damage the ladder because there are pads and all the right places. I’ve had this rack for several months now out in the freezing cold rain and snow, etc. and it hasn’t rusted because they built it to last. Thank you guys!

It broke down on our first trip, damaging 1 bike and the ladder on my brand new Imagine trailer. The two bikes weighed in at 58 pounds. I was really happy with it on my first two short "shakedown" tours carrying a super light carbon fiber road bike. I like the fact that it folds up out of the way. The "rubber" bumper that hits the vertical frame, is made of cheap hollow plastic that deformed from the weight and bouncing of the trailer. The bolts and the pins holding the horizontal portion to the vertical are much too close together. The holes around the bolts were elongated due to the bumper failure and the bad placement of the pins to the bolts. We were visiting different campgrounds for three weeks and had to use ratcheting tie down straps to support the sagging arms. My two pictures show the sagging arms and the crushed bumper.

Very easy to use and compact. I don’t think it would work for e-bikes because they weigh more than the recommended weight limit.

Good bike rack over all but don’t like the fact that when folded down to place the bike on the rack, the bars where the bikes go don’t stay at a 90 degree angle, they fold down much more. Bike rack was either poorly designed or poorly built. The rack does its job, just didn’t like that the bars did not stay at a 90 degree angle.
