I would stay away from this item. The previous one I had worked for 1 year and then broke down. I purchased this one as a replacement. For some reason after I set up the day, time and year it will only hold the memory for about 2 or 3 days and then will revert to the beginning time. I purchased two of them and they are doing exactly the same. I replaced my old one with this exact same model and I didn't have any trouble with the old unit losing time so I know the wiring is correct. I also know the wiring is correct because when I use a flash drive the unit remembers and stays on the last song I was playing.

Reverse camera just DIDnt work nor did I understand it so any video I watched told me to connect to the pink wire so I did nothing I connect the brown wire nothing I connect all 3 it turns on but won’t leave the reverse camera

Mirrored right up ask me to trust device pressed yes iPhone was on screen asap good sound & watts runs my punch 200 no problem & clear easy to use very happy can’t beat price and quality I’ve been king time Alpine user have many of them thus radio is just as good as the huge $$ brands you’ll be happy

I gave this product three stars because it was inexpensive and I didn't expect much. Perhaps one should consider it a training tool. The first problem is that the instructions were rudimentary and the inputs and outputs are difficult to identify. For example, the difference between the brake light input and the parking brake input was not obvious to me. I had no way of knowing there was a parking brake input.The device outputs speaker level audio. After I bought the device, I determined my truck had a separate power amplifier. I have to set the volume low, as low as two. A purchaser should find out if there is a power amplifier. There are solutions on Amazon to lower the output to line level.I was disappointed that a phone app must be side-loaded to my phone to mirror the screen. Considering the firmware programing, I really didn't want to put their app on my phone. Bluetooth gives me audio from the phone and I don't need my phone to be mirrored. It would be nice to display my phone's navigation, but I am OK without it.The device has some quirks. The device always turns itself on when the truck is started. I would prefer that it stay off if it is off when the ignition is turned off. The description of the inputs is rudimentary There are video and audio inputs on the back, but one has to guess how they work. Set the device to AUX to use them? There is an AUX input on the front. Does it have video? I certainly don't know. I guess it makes sense that the device mutes the audio during backing up of the truck, but I would prefer it did not.Playing from a memory card or USB stick works well. If you click on movie, the device will find video files. If you click on music, it will find audio. There is a file explorer that is better than a lot of stereos? If you put the device on "random" it will find the files regardless of file structure. The "play in order" icon and the "repeat" icon appear to be reversed.The FM radio works well, though my antenna is so bad I cant be sure it is up to average. I don't like the user interface, I am constantly saving to memory when I don't want to or punching the wrong button. The nature of touch-screen, I suppose.The camera failed within a few days. I didn't expect it to last. I already had a backup camera, so I wasn't concerned.

I'm changing editing my review. I originally rated it five stars, it worked great when I first got it. I've had it 2 years now and it just stopped working one day when I was driving down the road. I checked all the connections everything was good. I replaced it with a different head unit and the new one works great.I would not recommend purchasing this head unit. They do not last and they are cheaply made and the sound quality is terrible. And the operating system for AM/FM is confusing and hard to see the screen when the sun is glaring on the screen.
