This power supply was just what I needed for my aged but still very useful canon camera. Using it for a revived interest in astrophotography and it is working great. I needed the plug in power capability for very long exposure time. Very happy with the purchase.

I do a lot of document digitization that requires careful setup and leveling of the camera. This power adapter allows me to set the camera up, tether it to a continuous power supply and not worry about releveling the camera like I would if I had to change batteries.

What I like is that it worked. What I didn't like were the reviews by people who don't understand that "some" camera models may require an additional adapter, while other camera models do not require an additional adapter. In other words, people make the assumption that what is true for their camera model is also true for other cameras. That assumption is not true.My D-90 camera works with this product without an adapter. I cannot speak for other models. Just check your camera for a square four-hole port. If your camera has the port then you don't need an adapter.The instructions are almost useless, but it is not difficult to figure out. The instructions do give some clues.

I recently bought 2 of these power supplies to use with 2 different Nikon camera continuous power supply connectors (dummy batteries) - one for a Nikon EP-5B and the other for a EP-5A. Tested both, they work great. Good price, snug fit to the power supply connector, and the power supplies don't run hot.The only thing I didn't love about them is that the attached cable between the power supply and the camera dummy battery connector isn't very long. When using a camera on a tripod at full height, the power supply brick was hanging in the air, or I had to tape it to one of the tripod legs. The cable only contains 2 wires, so I cut it and spliced in an extra 2 meters of wire. Easy to do, and now I have a more useful power adapter.

I love shooting lightning but my lightning sensor rapidly drains my camera battery. This little adapter solves the problem and it's less expensive than the Nikon OEM equivalent. You also need the battery replacement (EP-5B for D500) to plug into your camera and then this adapter plugs into the battery replacement. Keeps the camera powered as long as you keep it plugged in. Completely meets my needs. It DOES NOT charge your camera battery, in case you were curious.
