BRIAN DePALMA used a piece like this in 1976 CARRIE - in order to get 2 actors IN FOCUS simultaneously although they are separated (in depth) by 5+ feet. I used this with my Anamorphic 35mm lens (82mm thread) and it worked BEAUTIFULLY!!

I tried everything--videos, written tutorials, different lenses, different settings. Could not get this to work right. I don't know if something was wrong with it, or I'm dense but I sent it back. I can get the same effect in Photoshop.

This piece arrived broken but the disappointing part was that it was clearly shipped broken. There is no way that this damage could’ve occurred by the way it was packaged and there were no glass pieces in the box.

The prism works but its is difficult to find the focal region.Does not work with lenses above 50mm.

This is such a fun filter to play around with! It’s larger than my lenses so I just hold it up in front of my lens while shooting. Doing that also gives me more freedom for moving it around to place the main subject anywhere in the frame I want.

Ordering an 82mm item for a camera means being able to use it on an 82mm lens.A smaller one is not wanted.Smaller diameter will vignette the view of the lens, resulting in a dark frame (vignetting).This means loss of dynamic, and limits the final quality.
