This smaller version maintains the same high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design, perfectly sized to protect all my lenses.The cover's material is thick and durable, providing excellent protection against bumps and scratches. It's the perfect solution for keeping my lenses safe, especially when I'm on the go or storing them in my bag. But soft with purpose, like the hand of someone who knows how to soothe you after a loss, someone who knows where your camera's been. Kyoto? Oaxaca? The sidewalk outside a courthouse? The Packing Knit Camera Lens Cover does not judge. It only covers. It only guards.You slide it on and feel—what? Relief. Yes. A rightness. The knitting is dense, but not heavy. It breathes, like good advice. The orange is not screaming like a safety cone, nor hiding like a hushed monk in saffron robes. No, it is just—orange. Bold, but not arrogant. This product was provided to me for free through the Vine program, so pricing is not considered in this review. If you’ve seen my review of the matching Camera Cover, this may feel like déjà vu.I tested this lens cover on a standard 55–250mm EF kit lens that came with my DSLR. As a dust cover, it does its job, but that's about the extent of its usefulness. There’s no padding, so it offers no shock or impact protection. I originally I had a vague hope that it could help me travel light without a dedicated camera bag, especially when paired with the “Camera Cover, Polygon W, Made in Japan, L size, Dark Gray.” Unfortunately, that combination didn't provide meaningful protection.The material's stretch and weave are high quality, and it does accommodate a range of lens sizes. But that flexibility is undermined by the lack of actual utility. Frankly, slipping your lens into a tube sock, or even an insulated tumbler sleeve from Daiso that I have used in the past, would offer more practical protection and concealment.If all you need is a soft dust cover, this may work. Otherwise, it feels more like a clever-looking gimmick than a truly functional accessory.

This is a useful little thing. It isn’t as soft as I’d like with expensive Leica equipment, but for someone like me who 1) hates the crummy foam insert camera bags, and 2) isn’t exactly precious with my cameras, it works. This fits the Leica Sofort 2 well. The 114 it’s a “maybe,” with more stretch. Smaller than anticipated, but does the job.

Got this protective pouch in light grey, size small, for my compact Sony prime lenses and they all fit as described. The construction quality is excellent. Very well made. The material somewhat reminds me of knitted yarn, but it's a more durable and denser version of it. It's stretchy which is helpful for my bigger items.Overall, it works well for light protection and preventing scratches when just throwing it in my bag with other stuff. It's not a drop-proof or water-proof kind of pouch, and that's ok for me. I wanted a slim travel pouch and this fits the bill.My pouch arrived with a strange oily smell, so I popped it in the wash with my laundry and it came out fine.I do wish the material was a little softer and slightly thicker, but it's not a dealbreaker. But on the plus side, the material does not have any lint at all, which is amazing! Perfect for electronics and camera gear for sure.
